Dorothy Morrison
"My very favorite aroma in the whole world would have to be that of wax crayons. It takes me back to a time when life was much simpler. A time when restrictions of adulthood had no bearing, and the only important thing in life was the creative force that gushed forth in their colors.
Today, I own the huge box of crayons that my mother never let me have. When I get stuck on a project, I take them out and give them a good whiff. I use them for making manuscript notes, drawing little pictures for my editor, and just general goof-off. They provide the best inspiration I've ever had - that wonderful, simple childhood inspiration - and before long, I'm back on track.
Funny how the perfume wafting from a simple box of little wax tubes could provide that much power. But it does - at least, for me!"
