More Guest SmeLLebrities
Judy Farncombe: Editor of Psychic-Tymes
Judy with a friend on holiday in Australia
When asked about her favorite smeLL, Judy waxed quite lyrical:
" I am an avid gardener (read the garden
pages on her homepage) and I like roses, they can all smell different. In the
garden, my favorite has to be a particular old variety of rose call Madam Isaac
Periere, I also like the smell of Zephrin Drouhin. My favorite hot house flowers
are Freesias and Jasmine.
Among some of my favorite Aromatic oils to burn are: orange,
nutmeg, lime, clove and cinnamon (they remind me of Christmas).
Favorite foodie smells are fresh roasting coffee beans. Like most Brits, I
dislike coffee to drink, but I love the smell. When I was a kid, there was a
shop in Putney (South London) close to where I lived, that roasted and ground
coffee beans. I loved to stand outside and sniff away.
My favorite Perfume is Estee Lauder's Private Collection. I remember
stopping a woman at a meeting to discover what her perfume was, I then
made certain that that was to be my main choice of fragrance.
Smell is one of those senses that awakens deep seated memories. We also take our
favorite smells with us and can use them to announce our arrival to the living
(once we are dead). Recently I was visited by a spook that smelt of cigarettes.
He was the brother of my hair dresser and was giving me a message to hand on to
his sister, which I did.
I hope that when I pass away, I will choose a more salubrious smell to
announce my visits to the living! One often hear stories of mothers visiting
their kids smelling of their favorite scent, that means I'll come back wearing
Estee Lauder's Private Collection (spooky medium humor there - chuckle)."
