I love New York by Mynou de Mey -continued -

The air is quite toxic and enveloped in a blanket of stench.  All debris, steel, photographs, cars, firefighters trucks, pieces of cars, pieces of steel, pieces of wood, ashes, pieces of pieces, all of that was down there is now up here, on this hill, on Staten Island, right across the river.  

City workers, and volunteers work out of a large tent, where weary, sad, and overworked people come in to change their clothing, have a short lunch, relax a few minutes, and sit on a bench with their head in their hands.  

As we were stationed right by the entrance of this tent, when people came in they could smell our diffuser which contained a respiratory blend, and you could immediately notice how first curious and then happily surprised the people became.  

The massage therapists did their work and then directed the people towards my table where all donated aromatherapy products were lined up, ready to go home with them.  

A few drops of a respiratory blend on a piece of cloth did the trick for many firefighters and other workers, some tucking the cloth inside their mask and loving it.

The generosity of many people has lifted our City... we have all felt the unity of the entire world and particularly the entire United States, and as horrible as this tragedy is, it has had a positive effect on all people.  

It has made us be more tolerant towards people of all religions, it has made us more aware of the important things of Life, it has made us more compassionate towards one another, and it has made me love New York more than ever.
