Sirona
Knight (with her son Skyler)
My favorite smell is lavender. The scent is calming and gives me a wonderful sense of well-being. I make lavender mist by putting fresh flowers in water, and heating them up, straining the flowers, and putting the scented water in a squirt bottle.
I mist everything--chairs, pillows, bed linens, even my cats and dogs! I stuff lavender flowers into a knee-high nylon stocking, knot it at the top, and then put the stocking in my bath to scent the water. A lavender bath always gives me peaceful dreams. I carry a small lavender sachet in my purse, and I smell it whenever I feel stressed out or want to get rid of a headache.
My son and I make a lavender herbal oil.
We collect the fresh flowers, put them in a ceramic pan with about 1/2 cup
carrier oil such as apricot or extra-light olive oil, then heat the oil slowly.
We let the oil cool, strain the flowers out, and bottle it. I also add
dried lavender flowers or a few drops of lavender oil to incense. I have
found that lavender is a potent scent for love magic because it attracts men.
I use dried lavender flowers to make Love Magic Charm Bags. Here are the
instructions so you can make one too!
Love Magic Charm Bag - From Sirona's new book, Dream Magic: Night Spells
and Rituals for Love, Prosperity and Personal Power
List of Items Needed:
A pinch of mugwort
A pinch of dried lavender flowers
A pinch of dried violet flowers
A small piece of rose quartz
A small white cloth bag or sock
To dream of your lover, put equal parts of mugwort, rose buds and petals,
violet, and lavender flowers, into the white sock. Add a small piece of
rose quartz, and say nine times,
"Magic bag of white
Bring my love to me tonight.
As I will, so shall it be!"
Place the white bag inside of your pillowcase while you sleep to encourage
dreams of romance and love.
